Gelmar is a true definition of “Dynamite comes in small packages”. My journey started 7 years ago at the Xavier branch in June 2017. I’ve worked in four branches in the past 7 years as a Branch Manager and currently I oversee 7 branches. It has been a privilege to see the company grow right before my eyes from the systems we used to use to the structural changes that happened along the way. One thing that remains consistent is the attitude and willingness to help and guide one another in every single department in the business and the support we receive from our seniors and directors and the wonderful phrase I’ve come to live by “we’ll never know until we try”. What once seemed like just another job turned into a career from the experience and knowledge, I’ve gained through my time with Gelmar.

Retail has always been my employment line but the moment I became part of Gelmar that is when I truly gained experience and found true joy in the retail environment.

What I love about Gelmar other than good working hours is that it cares about its employees and it does its best to ensure their wellbeing and happiness of many.

My journey at Gelmar has been a story of perseverance and growth.

My first year started in the warehouse which gave me a solid foundation on working structures. Moving to reception in about a year and meeting different people every day built my persona and interpersonal skills. While still on the path of growing within the company, I find myself right in front of another opportunity, photography from just carrying my camera when we have team building activities, that passion lead to me being slowly integrated into the creative team.

This journey from warehouse, to front desk, and doing photoshoots, and now to marketing has shown me that growth often lays beyond comfort. My journey is proof that here at Gelmar, dedication and curiosity can truly take you anywhere.
